Focus Area 6
Innovation & Education
Education
- Vocational education – development of teaching material and vocational teacher training in collaboration with the Danish Knowledge Centre for Agriculture, Horticulture and Forestry.
- University education – contribute to the development of interdisciplinary learning for agronomy and engineering students through project work (e.g., BSc or MSc thesis) and development of educational modules.
- PhD education – establish a robust network of 11 PhD students and 6 postdocs across the scientific areas, which is also open for external PhD students. In addition, we will offer a PhD summer school and joint PhD courses throughout the project.
Innovation
- Collaborative approach – co-development of intercropping, proximal sensing and robotics leads to unique data.
- Cutting-edge technologies – digital twins, simulations and visualizations. Solutions will be transferred in scalable software and hardware building blocks
- Inclusive stakeholder involvement, with living labs as dynamic collaboration hubs.
- Active involvement of farmers and AgTech industry in designing and evaluating experimental setups.
